The Battle of Desert Hill was the first engaged battle between the Pro-JBRican Forces versus the Pro-AIL Forces in the Jihad War of the United States of JBR. It began around noontime when several AIL agents set off a bomb inside a hotel near the Las Vegas Strip and killed the 58 civilians inside or around it. The hotel was severely damaged and several tourists immediately called for help. Immediately within 10 minutes, Anthony Ruiz, one of the Field Marshals of the United States of JBR led his troop of 5,000 soldiers and was assisted by Colonel Ryan Spore who helped lead the mercenaries from Bobogoobo, the International Muslim Community, and the Union of Midway. Paramedics rushed survivors to the hospital just several minutes before AIL members began emerging and opening fire at the Pro-JBRican front.
Immediately, local police forces closed off the street and assisted the Ruiz-led troops and evacuated civilians from the battling spree. State Reserve officers were deployed soon and searched for AIL members who were within 10 miles of the battle and had the entire radius under lockdown. AIL was outnumbered and launched several grenades at the army; killing some 200 soldiers upon impact. Ruiz and Spore immediately had his troop chase down remaining AIL survivors. Spore found the main AIL commander for the battle, "Code Envy" and shot him dead with a blow to the head. AIL unconditionally surrendered to the pro-JBRican forces by 2:00 PM. Captured AIL members became prisoners of war of the United States of JBR and were all sent to a remote correction facility in Area 51 where they will receive a testimony from the Supreme Court of the United States of JBR on March 15, 2011.
