Brina Cross
Brina Cross is a crossroad on the Gold Road, between Anvil, Kvatch, and Sutch. The site is home to a village with an inn, and lies not far from the Ayleid ruin of Garlas Agea. The area is named for the nearby Brena River.
History
An inn has existed at the crossroads for centuries, serving travelers along the Gold Road. In the early Third Era, the village was ruled by a council of farmers and merchants.
The Brina Cross area was seized by the Camoran Usurper around 3E 252, along with the nearby city of Kvatch, which was brutally sacked by his forces. In 267, after the defeat of Camoran in High Rock, Brina Cross was retaken by Olvortius Halgern on behalf of Cephorus II, who rewarded Halgern with the title "Lord Protector of the Crossroads". From then on, Brina Cross has remained a possession of the Halgern family unto the present day (who in turn owe fealty to House Umbranox of Anvil).
