Template:Infobox Aircraft The KAI Chamsae is a Korea Aerospace Industries VTOL aerial support craft utilized by the Federation Air Forces. The Chamsae is primarily used as an air-to-ground anti-tank craft, but can be fit with a bomblet dispenser for short-range bombing missions. The Chamsae was developed as a part of a wide-ranging government program to develop more domestic military aircraft after the widespread success of the Starhawk series fighters.

Features

The Chamsae is propelled by jet engines mounted on gimbals at the ends of its two top-mounted wings. This allows for quick side-to-side movement and provides the chief source of lift for the craft. The Chamsae is manned by up to two people, a pilot and a co-pilot/gunner, and somewhat resembles a relatively small attack helicopter. The default armament loadout for the Chamsae is dual missile pods, loaded with AP missiles for anti-tank missions.

Although it is mainly an anti-armor platform, it has limited anti-infantry ability. This comes in the form of two multi-barrel miniguns, mounted on either side of the cockpit area. It is equipped with a multi-threat electronic counter-measure system, capable of deploying chaff, flares, or miniature radar-jamming pods.

The Chamsae is extremely versatile and manueverable, and can be launched from airbases, seaborne aircraft carriers, or, if the need arises, Leviathan-class Aerial Platforms. It is equipped with an advanced electronics system, including cameras, various sensors, and target tracking and designation systems, useful for mission logging and review.
