The Tonbo Autonomous Drone is the backbone of the East Asian Federation Air Forces. It is a highly versatile, remotely controlled multi-purpose drone.

The Tonbo Drone was first designed by Gim Song-jin in 1984. Mass production of the drone by Hyasoda Military Industries began in 1990. It has since grown to become the most used operational asset in the Federation's global security operations due to its ease of use.

In an undeployed state, a Tonbo Drone acts as a missile, capable from being launched from almost any platform, mainly the DCS-class Carrier. Once in the air, the drone's "wings" unfold from the canister. The wingtips contain small laser rifles. Tonbo Drones are remotely controlled via the East Asian Federation's Robotic Command Center in Saikyō, with orders relayed globally via the Federation's National Security Satellite constellation. The drones contain onboard fusion batteries with lifespans of up to 25 years without replacement. The drone's propulsion systems consist of an anti-gravity generator and an ion thruster.
