        • Italy reports 10,925 new cases in the last 24 hours, a new record for daily cases since the start of the pandemic. In response, the Italian government prepares to impose new restrictions.
        • Lombardy announces new restrictions to be imposed on midnight with bars only being able to serve seated customers at tables after 6 pm local time and the sale of takeaway alcohol is banned after that time. Under these new restrictions, the consumption of food and drink in all outside public places is banned.

        • Cyprus reports 202 new cases in the last 24 hours, a new record for the country which suggests that the virus is spreading at a rapid pace as citizens fail to follow hygiene and social distancing protocols.
