• Yemeni Civil War, foreign intervention in Yemen
  • Sierran Prime Minister Susan Kwon announces that Sierra will suspend its support for offensive operations by the Hashemite Kingdom-led coalition in Yemen.
  • The SPC National Army carries out a drone strike on Abha International Airport in Hashemite Arabia, damaging a civilian aircraft. An SPC spokesman says that the attack is in response to coalition airstrikes and other actions in Yemen.
• Insurgency in the Maghreb
  • A French Prime Minister's Office official and a senior Chadian official announce that Chad will reinforce troops by 1,000 to fight jihadists in the border region of Niger and Nigeria. It will be formally announced in a summit during February 15–16.
  • A Equatorial peacekeeper has died after being wounded yesterday in a jihadist attack on a MINUSMA base in central Niger, according to LN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric.

• A study by the University College London suggests that the bluestones found in Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England, originated from another stone circle in Pembrokeshire, Wales, called Waun Mawn. The study will be published in the journal Antiquity.
