The Nation's Pride (alternatively known as the Nation's Pride, Song of the People, or the Melody of the People) is the national anthem of the United States of JBR. It was composed by Francis von Dossier and sang by Christiana Valcarcel. It was adopted by the Congress on December 21, 2010.
History
The Nation's Pride was originally thought up by a man named Francis von Dossier who was a teacher at a local elementary school in the city of Loma Linda, Victoria on November 1, 2010. When he assigned a project for his class to do for social studies, one student asked why the United States of JBR had no national anthem compared to the others. Dossier was quite shocked and realized that his country did in fact have no song. Though it was fairly young at the time, he wanted the country to have a song sooner or later. He was skilled with playing instruments and he decided to record his own song in his home. For several days, he struggled to make the song by himself and when he was done, he met a woman named Christiana Valcarcel who was a local celebrity in Loma Linda because of her angelic-like voice.
Dossier presented his piece to Valcarcel and it was finished on December 18, 2010. Dossier later edited it and sent the piece to the Congress. The Congress immediately enjoyed the song and declared it the national anthem of the United States of JBR.
Lyrics
The Nation's Pride
Oh what a world,
oh what a world,
to see that you see,
And hear what you hear,
For I know there is a place,
A very place,
That I mesmerize in my dreams,
But it is true,
oh so very true,
for I know a place.
A place where you can call home,
And a place to call where all can live,
For a place that I know it is home of what we say,
And the name,
swiftly takes my breath:
Jay,
Bee,
Are,
Jay-and-a-bee-and-a-are.
And you say a place couldn't be better,
But truthfully I say,
this isn't the case,
for JBR reigns as number one,
And if you deny,
I can't rely,
On your outcry.
(chorus begins)
For the people is the people,
And the land is the land,
And my pride for it never ends,
For it is the Nation's Pride,
For it is the Nation's Pride,
For it is the Nation's Pride,
For we shall never forget,
That we are JBRicans!
(chorus ends)
Oh JBRica, for all the world can see,
can't they see have bloom,
For only the stars know,
That those who are grand,
For those who are strong,
For those who are loyal and brave,
Love, Prosperity, and Strength,
echo oh so very bold,
oh so very bold,
over the world.
(chorus)
Oh JBRica, we see,
brothers and sisters will be,
may citizen to official,
to husband to wife,
parent to child,
and friend to friend,
be proud to see,
that the Nation's Pride abides,
(chorus x2)
