Airport Business District is a RTS Koiwai station on the Purple Line, located on Airport Avenue, in southeast Koiwai. This station was opened on March 8, 2010, and is connected to Koiwai Prospekt National Airport Terminal C by underground passageway. It was the first station opened on the Purple Line, and the first RTS Koiwai station opened on Airport Avenue.
Layout
Airport Business District has an island platform with two tracks. Track F1 is the Southbound track toward Harbor Bridge. Track F2 is the northbound track. Just north of the station, Track F2 splits, with the main Track F2 turning west to join the Yellow Line and become Track C1. The branch route, Track X7, provides a connection to Track C2, allowing out of service trains to return to the depot near Airport Satellite Parking station.
