Christian Democratic Union Party (Spanish: Partido Unión Demócrata Cristiana) is a center-right political party in Central America. It serves as a coalition party with the Nationalist Party and PUDC have moderate seats in the bicameral Constitutional Assembly. The current party leader is the incumbent Distrito Capital Governor Isolda Menjivar.
The party was founded in July 11, 1993 by former 1987 presidential candidate Joaquín Cereceda. He negotiated to the minor Christian democratic parties to form the PUDC. It failed to have seats in both houses of the Constitutional Assembly until 2002. PUDC had marketed themselves as conservative alternatives to the Nationalists and Unidades. They support FCA's continued membership in the CAS. The party members have divided opinions towards the diplomatic relationship to the United Commonwealth and Landonism because most of its members are Roman Catholics, with the minority groups of Protestants, Avigonese Catholic, and other Christian groups. The party supported gun control but opposes abortion, and legalization of marijuana. In terms of LGBT rights, PUDC have divided opinions for same-sex marriage, but they supported gender equality and anti-discrimination.
