The JBRican Catholic Church or the JBRican Roman Catholic Church is the largest non-Protestant Christian denomination in the JBR and is an independent Catholic church. One of the largest denominations, it claims a considerably high amount of JBRican citizens. Led by Bishop Gregory Saint II, the Catholic Church works similarly as an Eastern Catholic church. Founded in the late November 2010 by a group of Catholics, several churches were created and used for worship in mass. The JBRican Catholic Church has seen some competition with the churches of the JBR Division of Seventh-day Adventists and United Baptists Churches as well as the Lutherans. Despite this, the JBRican Catholic Church is well higher in membership than the next one, the Pastafarian Church of JBR. The JBRican Catholic Church is ultimately led by Pope Adrian I whom they believe is the "true pope" of the Catholic faith. Some members believe Pope Hope is the ultimate leader along with Bishop Saint II agreeing that Pope Hope is too, the pope of all Catholics.
History
Catholicism in the United States of JBR was already present during the birth of the country and has been around many of years before. Mostly held by Hispanic adherents, many communities clung to the Catholic faith even during the wars that would later lead up to the foundation of the United States of JBR. In the late November, several Catholics decided to form the church and when it was, Gregory Saint II became the pope of the church. Several politicians in the government are Catholic or former Catholic members and is well-known throughout the country.
Current Status
As of January 2011, the JBRican Catholic Church accounts for 2.4 million followers of the 30 million JBRicans. The Catholic Church has seen some decline in membership because of the various evangelist Christians that publish an effort to push Protestantism into every person of JBR. Regardless, Bishop Saint II claimed the church was still developing and he hoped that the church would get a "growth spurt" sometime in the May of 2012.
