SBC Center is a RTS Koiwai station on the Blue Line. It is located in Northeastern Koiwai, directly opposite the SBC Television Center. It opened for service on April 19, 2010.
History
Although among the first planned to be open, it was the last to be constructed and opened in RTS Koiwai Phase V. Even with the construction of the Malcolm Gardens subway to provide additional transit coverage to underserved neighborhoods in Koiwai, Malcolm Gardens is still among the least transit-accessible areas in the city, rivaled only by the RTS- and Circulator-devoid Westside.
The station is located directly on SBC Plaza, across Whitehouse Road from the SBC Center. This makes it extremely well-placed and convenient for guests attending events at the center.
