2022 (MMXXII) was a common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2022nd year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 22nd year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 3rd year of the 2020s decade.
The League of Nations declared 2022 as the International Year of Sustainable Development, the International Year for Youth Empowerment, and the International Year of Bread.

- January 7 – Isaac Dillon of the United Conservative Party is sworn in as the 19th President of Superior.
- January 15 – A large eruption of Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai, a submarine volcano in Tonga, triggers tsunami warnings across the Pacific.
