The association football tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held from 22 July to 8 August 2020 in Istanbul. The matches took place at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium and the Türk Telekom Arena.

Associations affiliated with FIFA may send teams to participate in the tournament. Men's teams are restricted to under-23 players (born on or after 1 January 1997) with a maximum of three overage players allowed, while there are no age restrictions on women's teams. A total of 16 men's teams and 12 women's teams will compete in the Olympics after being determined in regional qualification tournaments, organised by the six continental confederations.
