Events

1st century

  • 4E 0
  • 4E 5
    • Red Year — Baar Dau crashes into Vivec City, obliterating it, and turning the surrounding area into Scathing Bay. The impact triggers a massive eruption of Red Mountain, which lays waste to Vvardenfell and spreads destruction throughout Morrowind. Refugees flood into Skyrim and eastern Cyrodiil. Volcanic ash and aftershocks destroy Fort Frostmoth on Solstheim.[1]
    • A tsunami from the Vvardenfell eruption strikes the northern shore of Skyrim, weakening the cliffs around Winterhold and causing damage to Dawnstar and Windhelm.
  • 4E 5–9
    • Accession War — Taking advantage of the province's weakened state, the Argonians invade Morrowind to exact revenge for centuries of slavery. The primary slaver houses, Dres and Telvanni, are nearly wiped out. House Redoran musters a defense and halts the Argonian advance, but parts of southern Morrowind remain under Argonian occupation. The invasion exacerbates the ongoing Dunmer refugee crisis.
