Morte Awards (Merveilles des Morte)

The Morte Awards, colloquially known as the Morties, are annual awards for artistic and technical merit awarded by the Merveilles des Morte community timeline. Voted upon by members of the community, the awards are a recognition of excellence in althistory writing, and are considered one of the most prestigious honors a writer can receive within the project. The Morte Awards were founded in 2020 by timeline member Javants03, and continue to this day. Awards are given to the best pages that were created within the previous year, or have had significant additions in the previous year, except in special categories, which have no such restrictions. Nominations are made anonymously from members of the community (including outside the Morte timeline), and a winner is then selected from these nominations by a committee of experienced Morte members.
