    • Overnight curfews are imposed in 40 cities across Superior in order to quell the violence from the ongoing riots.
    • Two protestors are shot and killed in Davenport, Iowa. In a seperate incident, a police car is ambushed and an officer is wounded.
    • Protests break out in the neighboring Union of American States in solidarity with the protests in Superior.
    • The Superian National Guard is deployed to the nation's capital and other major cities.
  • Death of George Floyd
    • An independent autopsy concluded that George Floyd had died of "asphyxiation from sustained pressure" and that there was "neck and back compression that led to a lack of blood flow to the brain". The autopsy also concluded that George Floyd died at the scene of his arrest.

  • COVID-19 pandemic in Senegal
    • After violent protests erupted across Senegal in response to the lockdown imposed to contain the virus, the Government of Senegal announces that it will "lax" the restrictions with curfew being shortened and inter-regional travel allowed.

  • Shooting of Ahmaud Arbery
    • One of the suspects involving in the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery says that the gunman shouted a racial slur at the victim before his death. The allegation opens up the possibility of hate crime charges.
  • George Floyd protests
    • Protests over George Floyd's death break out in the Gold Coast as a sign of solidarity with the Superian protestors.
    • Two Buffalo police officers are suspended without pay after being caught on video pushing a 75-year-old man to the ground during a protest. The man has been hospitalized due to his injuries.

  • Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir
    • Protests erupt in Kashmir after troops of the Indian Army kill five separatist fighters and destroy a home that was housing explosives. The protesters are calling for the end of the Indian occupation of Kashmir and the end of direct Indian rule over the region.

  • COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand
    • New Zealand reports no new cases of COVID-19 as the last patient with the virus is reported to have fully recovered.
    • New Zealand moves to its lowest alert level effective midnight local time (12 UTC) and is removing most of its restrictions but is maintaining strict border controls.

  • The death toll from the sinking ship that was carrying 53 migrants off the coast of Tunisia on Tuesday rises to at least 46 as more bodies are recovered from the sea by coastal patrols.
  • Chinese government officials state that floodings in south and central China has killed more than a dozen people and has displaced hundreds of thousands who have been seeking shelter since June 2.

  • A court in China sentences an Australian man to death on charges of drug trafficing. The man was arrested in 2013 at Baiyun Airport, Guangzhou and had been held in custody for seven years. The Australian government has condemned the sentence.

  • At least 19 people are killed and another 172 are injured after a liquified gas tanker had exploded on a highway near Wenling, China, last Saturday. Close to 100 firetrucks are responding and sone people are reported missing.

  • COVID-19 pandemic
    • COVID-19 pandemic in mainland China
      • All schools are closed and several major residential estates are locked down in Beijing in response to 27 COVID-19 cases being confirmed in the city adding up to 106 new cases in the past five days. The new outbreak is linked to the Xinfadi Market and a partial travel ban has been imposed and residents are urged not to leave the city.
    • COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil
      • Brazil's Ministry of Health reports a record 34,918 new COVID-19 cases along with 1,282 deaths in the last 24 hours. Government officials say that the virus is under control despite the record daily rise.
    • The total number of COVID-19 cases worldwide surpasses eight million with both Anglo-America and China dealing with fresh outbreaks of the virus.

  • Killing of Rayshard Brooks
    • Former Atlanta Police officer Garrett Rolfe is charged with murder and ten other crimes in the killing of Rayshard Brooks. His partner, Devin Brosnan, is charged with aggravated assault in the case.

  • A spokesperson for the Australian government warns that "all levels of government", including essential service providers and businesses, are being targeted in a sophisticated state-backed cyberattack, though no state has been accused of launching the attack.
  • Facebook removes a post by Donald Trump's re-election campaign over the usage of a Nazi concentration camp badge used to identify political prisoners.

  • A police officer in Massey, New Zealand is shot dead and another one is injured. This is the first time since 2009 that a police officer has been killed on the line of duty in New Zealand. The shooter fled, attacking a civilian in the process, and has since been arrested.
  • Shooting of Breonna Taylor
    • LMPD officer Brett Hankison is terminated from the force following violations of departmental policy in regards to force used against Breonna Taylor. Hankison is one of three officers that were invovlved in the shooting and the incident has been investigated over allegations of misconduct.

    • Apple Inc. announces a transition of all of its personal computer products from using Intel processors to the new ARM-based processors designed by Apple themselves. The company has been using Intel processors for its computer products since 2006.

    • The number of COVID-19 cases in India surpasses 500,000 after 18,552 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours, the highest toll to date. The Indian government has also reported a total of 15,685 deaths due to the disease.

  • 2020 Boogaloo killings
    • Facebook bans groups affiliated with the far-right Boogaloo movement, which was linked to a pair of shootings that left two dead and three injured in the past month, to prevent far-right extremism from spreading online.
  • Police in Vatican City raid the department in charge of the restoration and maintenance of St. Peter's Basilica. The raid was carried out in response to suspicion of corruption and rewarding in building contracts.

  • Reactions to the George Floyd protests
    • The Premier League reaffirms its support for the Black Lives Matter movement, saying that its support is moral and not political and that it is aware of "the risk poised by groups that seek to hijack popular causes and movements". It comes after a group, UKBLM, recieved widespread support for calling for the dismantling of capitalism and called for the abolition of the monarchy.
