Rudolph von Holt (born April 19, 1957) is the 4th King of the United States of JBR who has been serving since June 10, 2012. Prior to his ascension as King, he has taken the same office as JBR's second king. He has previously held the offices as the 2nd Acting President of JBR and the first acting Emperor of the Californian Union. He succeeded these two offices after the assassination of his predecessor, Smith Wellington. He is the founder of the House of Holt and its dynasty. He was born in Drudsen, Saxony in the Kingdom of Tenarra (which is now the Prussian Empire).

Von Holt had primary and secondary education during his time in the Kingdom of Tenerra before becoming a student of the Dresden University of Technology. A year before his graduation, he had to move with his family to the United States where he studied at the University of California, Riverside. He lived in Riverside, California where he met his wife, Gina von Holt. The two married and eventually had two daughters.

Near the turn of the 20th century, von Holt became concerned of the United States' status. He noticed the political decay within its government that would later lead to its dissolution in 2006. von Holt began studying politics and hoped of becoming a senator. When the Untied States collapsed, von Holt worked to unite the United States again. The Inland War broke out despite his efforts and he served as a peace negotiator for all the combatant sides. While in the war would eventually end through a white peace, von Holt was honored as having some role. von Holt participated in the Constitutional Convention that would form the United States of JBR. After the JBRican States formed, he returned to civilian life. However, by the time the JBRican Civil War ended, von Holt returned to his political life by serving as a diplomat to India and Bhutan. A close friend of Smith Wellington and Jakeb Norton, he would succeed Norton as the King and serve under the Wellington Administration. After Wellington's death, he became Acting President. von Holt set up presidential elections and halted most executive and legislative processes to make way for the succeeding president.

Early life

Born on April 19, 1957 in Dresden, Saxony (a year after the Swiss Civil War), von Holt attended primary, secondary, and higher education here. von Holt often worked after school to help his father. He was interested in technology and wanted to improve the life of everyone. von Holt began reverse engineering radios and televisions as a hobby before attending the Dresden University of Technology. The third year into his four-year course, his family decided to move to the United States in hopes to take advantage of the economic boom there. von Holt arrived to America in the year 1981 where he finished his education at the University of California, Riverside. He began working for Apple until 1999 where he left in discouragement due to the Y2K.

Political career

After 2000 passed, he re-applied to Apple but later declined as he became interested in politics by then. von Holt ran for senator for California in 2004 but lost. After this, he served worked for a local law firm. After the dissolution of the United States, he tried urging his community to unite as a country. His overall goal would be to reform the United States but this was put aside when the Inland War erupted. When the war began, he was offered to become a corporal for the Victorian Republic but von Holt declined. He declared himself a neutralist and tried negotiating peace treaties between the warring city-states. During the four-year war, he resided in the neutral city-state of Seal Beach which was an enclave within the Angeles city-state. When the war ended, von Holt was rewarded with several awards and honors for his efforts of peace.

Several months after the end of the war on April 2010, the Constitutional Convention was formed. The city-states of Southern California sent delegates to debate on the creation of a new country. von Holt was sent as such a delegate by Seal Beach and supported promcapablicism—a new idea introduced by several other prominent delegates. After the Convention, he befriended future President Wellington, future Senator Daniel Olly, and future King Norton. von Holt decided not to join the Senate once the JBRican States was formed.
