The Social Democrats of Yekateria (Yekaterian: Sociálnodemokraticke Partia Yekaterská, [sˌɔt͡ɕalnˌɔdɛmˌɔkratʲˈit͡skɛ pˈartja jˌɛkatˈɛrska]; SDPY) is a center-left social democratic political party in Yekateria. The party is the oldest existing party in Yekateria, founded in 1947. However, the party ceased to exist following the Great July Revolution of 2050, being reformed in its modern form in 2295 under the Reform! Freedom! Democracy! coalition as the National Party for Reform.

Mark Winters has served as party leader since 2381 leadership election, with the party's deputy co-leaders being Marta Melikova and Filips Filipavicius. Anne Laurent previously served as the party's leader from 2355 to 2381. Following former party leader Anne Laurent's ascension to the Vice Chancellery in 2356, the party has served as a major coalition partner within the Alliance for Liberal Democracy coalition, with Solidarity, The Greens, and the Liberal Forum. The SDP is a member of 29 out of 40 Yekaterian republican governments and leads eight of them.

Founded in 1947 by Viktor Petrov as the Social Democracy Party of Yekateria, it served as a soft left-wing alternative to the old Lenislav-Ilyanov era Communist Party of Yekateria and Kalysia. Despite never forming a government under the parliamentary system of the Dyleson-Kremsvol' era, the party frequently supported the major left-wing Liberal Forum party on major pieces of left-wing legislation particularly under Prime Minister Artur Kolesov. After the Kremlynast coup of 1997, the party was relegated to a minor status as the Liberal Party and Conservative Party worked in opposition to the stratocratic Nationalist Party.

The party was banned in the wake of the Great July Revolution and went underground as the Social Democracy Organisation (SoDeOrg) between 2050 and 2220. It participated in the Proletariat Front led by Natalia Malenkova as a non-party organisation, later being re-founded as the National Party for Reform (NPR) under the Reform! Freedom! Democracy! coalition, led by Ivana Zakladna with the support of Antoni Ivanko and Vera Khysakova. The NPR would later go on to win the 2297 Yekaterian federal elections and 2300 Yekaterian federal elections, electing Antoni Ivanko and Vera Khysakova as President and Premier respectively. However, they would be couped by Solidarist leader Elise Malenkova in the August 2300 Yekaterian coup.

Following its fall from power, the National Party for Reform would go on to serve as a major opposition party, electing Ivana Zakladna to the position of Speaker of the Soviet of the State and pursuing impeachment motions against Elise Malenkova's administration. This would later serve as a catalyst to the Era of Troubles. The party would continue to slowly sink in the polls, before rebranding itself into the modern Social Democrats of Yekateria in 2327 under veteran leader Vera Khysakova.

The Social Democrats would regain their prominence under Anne Laurent, becoming the second-largest left-wing party (second only to Solidarity) and consistently holding the third-most number of seats for a party in the Federal Assembly. As a coalition member in government, the party has consistently supported Yekateria's less-fortunate citizens with social programs and welfare assistance, being the most popular party with Yekateria's industrial working classes.

The current party leadership consists of Mark Winters, Marta Melikova, and Filips Filipavicius. Winters, Melikova, and Filipavicius were elected into office between 2376–2377, in the last years of Anne Laurent's leadership. As of 2383, Laurent is the longest-serving party leader, having served from 2355 to 2381.
