Template:Out of date In the United States of JBR, being a quasi-federal government with political divisions known as "states" or "territories". The political divisions of JBR are mostly small because of the nation's limited land area. There are 16 states, one special district, and five territories throughout the nation. All of the states are within the Southern California region and parts of Baja California, Nevada, and Arizona.
Special District
JBR City
States
Victoria
The state of Victoria is an area located near the body of water known as Lake Mathews and encloses the special district of JBR City. The state of Victoria expands from the lake to the tip of the Prado Dam at the Santa Ana River to the west and to the Mojave Desert to the east. Victoria is mostly home to upper middle-class and wealthy families and is the largest state by land area. Victoria is over what was mostly known as the Inland Empire during the pre-JBRican establishment. The state is marked with dry chaparrals that tends to set off wildfires in the summers with rugged hills and mountains near the western border. Despite the dryness of the land, the area is known for its adequate soil for navel oranges.
Angeles
The state of Angeles is named after the city-state Los Angeles before the unification of JBR. It is the largest state by population and home to about 3 million people. It is also the main area of trade, economy, and business and is known for its famous freeway traffic jams. Angeles is relatively warm in the summers and cool in the winters. The state is considered a hotspot for tourism and also suffers from drug trafficking along with established gangs. The state covers much of the former Los Angeles along with parts of the former Orange County. Los Angeles is also the center of media and entertainment. The state attracts a great deal of tourists and annually gives the United States of JBR large sums of income.
Catalinan
The state of Catalinan is named after the nearby island of the Santa Catalina Island as opposed to the popular belief that is was named after the Cabinet Chief Representative, Catalina Nedelcu. The state is situated near the former city-states of Long Beach, Huntington Beach, and parts of western Orange County. The state attracts many tourists alike as it provides a warm atmosphere to the Pacific Ocean and home to the JBRican Harbor, a busy port where many Pacifican nations trade with JBR. Catalinan is usually warm throughout the season although has very cool winters. The state also suffers from freeway traffic jams like Angeles although not as severe.
Orange Republic
The state of the Orange Republic is the eastern portion of the original Orange Republic and is often called the "other Catalinan". The Orange Republic is situated between many economic hubs and it itself is an economic powerhouse as well.
Malibustan
The state of Malibustan is named after the city-state of Malibu and only covers that city along with neighboring beaches. Malibustan is home to many of the wealthy families and known for its beaches. The Malibustan National Park is a popular attraction as it is a vast park connected to the beach directly. Malibustan also hosts a private harbor where Pacifican-restricted access is strictly followed by to protect the Malibustanian residents.
Barbaran
The state of Barbaran refers to the area where the cities of Santa Barbara, its neighboring cities, and the Los Padres National Park. Barbaran is the northeastern most state of the United States of JBR and home to the collision of ocean and forest. The largest city, Santa Barbara, is home to many residents that have direct access to the ocean and the forest. There is a seaport and a large lumber production mill which regularly benefits the state. The Barbaran is also the last state where the 101 Highway runs through before entering foreign territory. It was a frequently-used road when the Chaldean Army attacked JBR in the Chaldean-Pacifican War.
Diego Commonwealth
Although not a commonwealth, the Diego Commonwealth has adopted the word "commonwealth" in its name. The Diego Commonwealth refers to the state that is situated in the former city-state of San Diego and parts of Tijuana. It is a bustling center of trade and culture as both were originally a place where Americans and Mexicans worked alongside between the border. Since the establishment of the United States of JBR, the wall has been torn down and people from both sides became JBRicans. The southern side of the Diego Commonwealth is mostly filled with people of Hispanic descent and despite past economic challenges, it is a growing community in both economic and cultural ways. The Latino culture here is very strong and is mixed with American cultures from the northern part of the Diego Commonwealth. The Diego Commonwealth is known for its great beaches and tall skyscrapers. Throughout the season, the Diego Commonwealth is sunny and warm. The San Diego Bay provides oversea trade and protection for the Diego residents and a JBRican naval base is commissioned here.
Mexicali
Mexicali, a small state that is now over what is now the former city of Mexicali and its neighbors, is a state that is almost completely consist of Mexicans, Latinos, and a significant amount of Chinese. The state enjoys a warm climate and the recent boost of business has left the state with malls and other forms of business. Mexicali also has an air force base commissioned in the wilderness where jet flight fighters and bombers are tested and stored for wartime use.
Imperial
Imperial is a state just north of Mexicali and east of the Diego Commonwealth. Much of the land is rugged terrain and dry wilderness. Some areas are reserved for agricultural land and irrigation systems. Some areas in the Imperial state are populated although not high enough. Many suburb communities are built here where its residents travel over to San Diego and Mexicali to work. Imperial was used a lot during the wars the preceded the foundation of the United States of JBR.
Barstow
Barstow, like Imperial, lacks any large significant amount of population other than the city of Barstow and smaller establishments. Much of Barstow is not accessible due to the lack of roads although the 15 Freeway runs through it to Las Vegas. Many JBRicans use this freeway and travel over the state to the popular Las Vegas city up northeast. Barstow is marked with dry, flat land and mountains. Some businesses have speculated if more suburbs could be built in this state.
Vegas
The state of Vegas is on the very northeast edge of the United States of JBR and away from the main populations of the country. Vegas is famous for its city, Las Vegas, which is home to many casinos and resorts. Many JBRicans from the main areas visit to this city along with thousands of tourists flocking to see and experience the city. The state is really over a dry, desolate land and very hot. Las Vegas and its suburbs such as Henderson and Boulder City are the only establishments in the area and the Hoover Dam is responsible for much of the electricity for the state. Vegas is the second top income producing state after Angeles.
Bear Country
Area 51
Area 51 is a state north of Vegas and is the smallest state by population. Situated over the famous Nellis Air Force base (or Area 51) and Groom Lake along with neighboring areas, the land is desolate of any resources and is dependent on the neighboring state of Vegas.
