Ryan Kirk (born April 22, 1990) is an Astorian conservative political activist, talk radio host, and author. He founded Turning Point Anglo-America, one of the largest conservative non-profit organizations in Anglo-America, with Fred Mitchell Jr. in 2012 and currently serves as its executive director. He is also the CEO of Turning Point National Action, the regional director for Turning Point Astoria, and host of The Ryan Kirk Program.

Kirk was born in Tumwater, Astoria and attended Astor University. A proponent of conservatism early in life, Kirk was heavily involved in the Young National Democratic Federation and the College National Democrats. In 2012, along with fellow young conservative Fred Mitchell Jr., Kirk founded Turning Point Anglo-America, a non-profit political organization with the goal of promoting conservative principles across the Conference of American States. Turning Point Anglo-America quickly gained immense popularity amongst Anglo-American conservatives, propelling Kirk as a prominent conservative voice.

In 2019, Kirk established Turning Point National Action, a sub-organization of Turning Point Anglo-America designed to finance conservative political campaigns. In 2022, he began hosting a daily four hour radio talk show called the The Ryan Kirk Program through Columbia Broadcasting Services. Since entering the political mainstream, Kirk has been the subject of numerous controversies, primarily relating to his political positions and statements.

Early life and education

Ryan Kirk was born on April 22, 1990 in Tumwater, Olympia, Astoria to Charles and Yvette Kirk. He was raised in the neighboring Olympic City. His father was a real estate agent while his mother worked as a elementary school teacher. He was raised with at least one sibling. His parents were active supporters of the National Democratic Party, and their conservative leanings affected Kirk's worldview. From the ages of 8 to 18, Kirk was apart of the Scouting League and had achieved the rank of eagle scout.

Kirk attended school in Olympic City. While a junior at Olympia High School, he wrote and published an essay on supposed "liberal bias" in the Astorian education system. After graduating high school, Kirk attended Astor University in Astor City. In 2010, he volunteered for the presidential campaign of TBD, serving as regional youth director. In 2011, he was elected president of the Astor University College National Democrats, though resigned from the position in May of 2011.

During his senior year in college, Kirk befriended fellow conservative student Fred Mitchell Jr., who encouraged Kirk to pursue political activism. Kirk graduated from Astor University in May of 2012 with degrees in communications and political science.

Turning Point Anglo-America

In November of 2012, together with Fred Mitchell Jr., Kirk founded Turning Point Anglo-America, which is described as a "grassroots, non profit organization" that's sole aim is to "organize and advance conservative principles and traditional values across Anglo-America". In a 2020 interview, Kirk cited the rise of the modern liberalism espoused by Steven Hong in Sierra and Jennifer Granholm as his primary reason for forming the organization. Following Mitchell Jr.'s exit from the organization in 2013, Kirk serves as TPAA's CEO and executive director.

Turning Point Anglo-America quickly gained popularity amongst various Anglo-American conservative circles, propelling Kirk into conservative stardom. Under the direction of Kirk, the organization expanded into other CAS member states, including the Kingdom of Sierra with Turning Point Sierra in 2014, Superior with Turning Point Superior in 2016, Manitoba with Turning Point Manitoba in 2018, and Brazoria with Turning Point Brazoria in 2019. He also oversaw the expansion of the organization outside of Anglo-America, with Turning Point Brazil in 2021 and Turning Point Portugal in 2023.

In 2022, Turning Point Anglo-America established Professor Watchlist, a database in which university students can report alleged liberal and leftist bias from professors and other educators. Professor Watchlist was established at the direction of Kirk, who wanted to prioritize the "education wars".

Under Kirk, Turning Point Anglo-America's primary activities include coordinating support for conservative movements and campaigns across Anglo-America (though since 2016 TPAA main support has been for convervative populists), preserving the Anglo-American identity, and opposing "leftist liberalism and cultural landonism". In 2021, the Porciúncula Times reported that TPAA had misled supporters regarding with "confusing and contradictory" financial statements. In 2023, the Alternative Report alleged that Kirk and other TPAA personalities were purposefully misleading conservatives in supporting "unelectable radicals" in order to generate more profit from the backlash of electoral defeats. Kirk has denied both allegations, claiming they were smear attacks by leftists.

Turning Point Astoria

Kirk established Turning Point Astoria in 2014 as Turning Point Anglo-America became a more international organization. He served as TPA executive director from 2014 to 2019, and in that capacity has supported primarily National Democratic Party members.

In December of 2019, he resigned as executive director to focus more of his time on Turning Point Anglo-America and Sierran politics, taking up the position of regional director. Conservative youth activist Bryan Hart succeeded him as executive director in January of 2020. He still serves on the executive board of Turning Point Astoria, and was rumored to have an executive veto regarding decisions.

Turning Point National Action

In 2019, Kirk established Turning Point National Action as a 501(c)(4) entity in the Kingdom of Sierra designed to target Democratic-Republicans, Social Democrats, and Greens. He established the organization in preparation for the 2020 Sierran federal election, which he believed would dictate Anglo-American politics for the new decade.

Following the 2020 Sierran elections, Kirk announced his plan to expand Turning Point National Action into every CAS nation-state in the hopes of consolidated a unified financial entity for Turning Point Anglo-America. In 2022, Kirk announced Turning Point Anglo-America's intentions on establishing similar TPNA entities in Superior, Brazoria, Astoria, and Manitoba. As of 2023, no branch of Turning Point National Action has yet to expand outside of Sierra, primarily due to legal constraints.

Talk radio show

In January 2022, Kirk began hosting a four-hour daily radio talk show called The Ryan Kirk Program. The talk show is hosted through Columbia Broadcasting Services, a conservative multi-media network, and has been used by Kirk to expresses his opinions on current topics. In March of 2023, The Ryan Kirk Program's VidStream account was suspended for violating community guidelines relating to misinformation. The account was restored in April of 2023, though the show has since been solely uploading episodes on alternative media site Tumble.

Political positions and activities

General beliefs

Kirk identifies as a social conservative and populist who generally identifies with the conservative populist movement. Earlier in his public career, Kirk was accused of being apart of the New Right, though he firmly rejects the label.

Promotion of falsehoods and conspiracy theories

Kirk is a staunch advocate of the Cultural Marxism conspiracy theory, claiming that universities have been "hijacked by Continental agents" who are "hellbent on destroying freedom and liberty". He has also falsely asserted that university professors secretly collaborate with the United Commonwealth.

In 2017, in defending Sierran Prime Minister Daniel McComb from sexual abuse allegations, Kirk claimed that the allegations were "fake news" and the product of a "Continentalist-Democratic-Republican psyop". He also falsely asserted that one of McComb's accusers, Helen Page, was potentially a crisis actor and a Democratic-Republican operative. In 2019, when pressed on his false statements, Kirk claimed that he was being sarcastic and later in a 2021 interview, Kirk denied ever asserting Page was a crisis actor, instead insisting that he was highlighting inaccuracies in Page's accusations.

Throughout various points in his career, Kirk has accused various elections of being rigged or fixed. Following the victory of the Yes campaign in the 2019 Kingdom of Sierra CAS membership referendum, Kirk asserted that the referendum was "rigged by globalists". When pressed on his comments, Kirk said that he was referring to the "globalist media machine backing the Yes campaign" while he believed tricked Sierran voters. Following the defeat of Nemesis Heartwell in the 2020 Sierran federal election, Kirk promoted false conspiracy theories that vote was rigged and Heartwell was the true winner. He made similar assertions following the 2020 Superian federal election, the 2020 American Parliament election, and the 2021 Sierran federal election.

Promotion of COVID-19 misinformation

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kirk promoted false and misleading information regarding the severity of the COVID-19 virus, its origin, and existence. In January of 2020, as confirmed cases of COVID-19 started to be confirmed in the Conference of American States, Kirk implied in a Bubbler post that the COVID-19 virus was fake, alleging that the virus was created by "overdramatic sufferers of the flu". As cases rapidly increased, he took back his comments, though severely downplayed the severity of the virus.

During the pandemic, Kirk used his social media platforms to amplify conspiracy theories regarding the virus. In May of 2020, Kirk promoted articles claiming that the virus was a bioweapon developed by the United Commonwealth through Chinese subsidiaries. In June of 2020, he promoted articles claiming that the virus was intentionally being spread by the government of Susan Kwon in order to impose strict lockdowns. He also promoted false claims that lockdowns were being used as tools to implement "leftist, landonist agendas". He cited the National Health Protection Act of 2020 in the Kingdom of Sierra as supposed proof of his theory. In August of 2020, Kirk accused Andrew Deng, Director of the Royal Center for Disease Control and Provcention, of collaborating with other Anglo-American medical professionals in "imposing medical tyranny". He also promoted unsubstantiated rumors regarding Deng's personal life.

Kirk promoted alternative and experimental treatments to COVID-19, including Hydroxychloroquine, which falsely asserted as "100% guarantied to permanently prevent COVID-19". Following the development of the COVID-19 vaccine, Kirk spread misinformation regarding the origin and development of the vaccine. In a January 2021 Bubbler post, Kirk claimed that the vaccine caused a "high risk of heart failure" and promoted articles claiming as such. He also accused vaccine providers of using tissue from aborted fetuses. This claim was promoted by the Shepard administration in Astoria.

Conservative populist activism

Kirk is a member of the Anglo-American conservative populist movement and has credited himself and Turning Point Anglo-America for expanding the movement. He is staunch supporter of conservative populist politicians across Anglo-America, and has dedicated time and resources towards expanding the movement.

Kirk is a staunch supporter of former Sierran prime minister Nemesis Heartwell. Kirk was one of the first major individuals to endorse Heartwell's leadership campaign in 2017. During her tenure as prime minister, Kirk and Turning Point Anglo-America organized various pro-Heartwell events. In 2019, he formed Students for Heartwell, a youth organization designed to increase Heartwell's support amongst younger Sierrans. Following Heartwell's defeat in the 2020 Sierran federal election, Kirk argued that the election was stolen from Heartwell, and called for audits and investigations into the election results. Since Heartwell's exit from politics, Kirk has argued for unified adherence to conservative populism in the Royalist Party. He has criticized Kenneth O'Conner and the Royalist Big Three for not adequately supporting Heartwell and her legacy.

Following 2020, Kirk has focused more on other conservative populist movements in Anglo-America. In 2022, he actively campaigned for Isaac Dillon and the United Conservative Party during the 2022 Superian federal election. In the same year, he campaigned for various right-wing candidates from the National Democratic Party during the 2022 Astorian elections, though did not endorse President Brendan Shepard for re-election. In 2023, he campaigned for Richard Abbot and the National Conservative Party during the 2023 Brazorian general election, and urged Brazorian conservatives not to support Ed Gonzales and the People's Party, referring to them as "fake conservatives".

Second Caribbean diplomatic crisis

Following the Amazonas incident, Kirk condemned the actions of the United Commonwealth, and called for a unified "retaliation" against the Continentals. In January of 2022, Kirk criticized Anglo-American heads of state for not adequately punishing the United Commonwealth, specifically calling out Susan Kwon on Bubbler. Following the Caribbean Sea incident, Kirk called on the Conference of American States to "properly recognized the legitimate United Commonwealth (Antilles)". He again criticized Susan Kwon for her "inadequate" response to the escalating tensions in the Caribbean sea, and called for her impeachment.

Kirk joined other prominent Anglo-American conservatives in Columbia City to call for greater CAS/NTO action in the Caribbean.

2023 Chinese invasion of Manchuria

Following the Chinese invasion of Manchuria in April of 2023, Kirk characterized the conflict as a "simple border dispute". In May of 2023, Kirk shared false stories from Chinese state media that question the legitimacy of a independent Manchuria. He criticized the financial aid given to Manchuria by the Conference of American States, arguing that time is better spent on "amplifying border security" against illegal immigration.

During Anglo-America Fest in July of 2023, Kirk criticized Anglo-American conservatives who had stated support for Manchuria, accusing them of being globalists. In the same month, Kirk was criticized for a now-deleted bubble in which he re-bubbled a video of former Chinese president Ren Longyun criticizing Western governments for prioritizing foreign countries over their own.

Media

Books

Kirk has published six books, all in relation to politics. He publishes through Open House Publishing, the largest publisher for conservative-oriented works.

Kirk published his first book, The Case for Sierra, in 2015, in which he called for Sierrans to "upend the liberal establishment" and establish a "new order for Sierrans". In 2016, he published his second book, The Sierran Revolution: The Model for Anglo-America, in which he referred to the recent election of Daniel McComb as a "conservative revolution" and a model for other conservative movements to follow. His third book, Toxicity of the Left, published in 2017, criticized "cancel culture" and made slight reference to the sexual abuse allegations against McComb.

His fourth book, The Heartwell Case, published in 2019, was a fictionalized semi-biography of Nemesis Heartwell and proposed the "Heartwellian Cause" of "conservativism, nationalism, and the Anglo-American way". Kirk published his fifth book, A Suspicious Case, in 2021, which explored false claims of voter fraud in the 2020 Sierran federal election and the 2021 Uppasala gubernatorial election in Superior. In the book, he does not specifically state whether those elections were "stolen", though alludes to the possibility. Kirk published his sixth and most recent book, The Scam of the Century, in 2023, in which he accused Anglo-American universities and colleges of promoting "intolerant leftist rhetoric" and targeted conservative students.

Kirk has been the subject of one biographies, Turning Point: A Ryan Kirk Story (2021), written by Brazorian conservative activist and Kirk's colleague Ashton Bennett, and one of many subjects in Infiltrated: How Grifters and Profiteers Hijacked Anglo-American Conservatism (2023), written by Sierran political scientist Kate A. Spencer.

Films

In 2016, Kirk starred in A New Right?, a RBS News special documentary on the rise of conservative populism in the Royalist Party of Sierra following Daniel McComb's election. In the documentary, Kirk claimed McComb's "love for the common folk" and "general distaste with leftist policies" were reason for his success in the 2016 federal election. Kirk also claimed that similar populist successes in other Anglo-American countries would usher a "new age of patriotism".

In 2017, Kirk co-wrote and produced A Nation In Peril, a conservative documentary highlighting political instability in the Kingdom of Sierra. In 2018, Kirk starred in a similar documentary, All The King's Men, which was directed and produced by British-Sierran conservative activist and conspiracy theorist Raheem Darwish.

In 2024, Kirk announced the creation of Turning Point Pictures, a subsidiary of Turning Point Anglo-America dedicated to "producing top-notch traditional and family-oriented films, shows, and media broadcasts". Kirk announced that Turning Point Pictures will launch sometime in Summer 2024.

Personal life

Kirk is non-religious, though takes admiration in Christianity and Judaism. In May 2023, Kirk married Evelyn Faulkner, a podcaster and activist who served as Kirk's media manager from 2016 to 2019. Their wedding was attended by various conservative media figures, and was dubbed the "right-wing royal wedding" by media commentators. He owns properties in Astor City and Porciúncula, the latter of which has been his primary residence since 2019.
