2020 Laguna gubernatorial election
Shaw was involved in the 2020 Laguna gubernatorial election having been hired by Tyson Morales to be part of his gubernatorial campaign, an offer that he accepted. Shaw was selected to be Morales' media representative and served as a spokesperson for the campaign in the media during the election. Shaw would gain attention being praised for his defense of Morales and his defense of the agreement between the Democratic-Republicans and Social Democrats in the Laguna Provincial Legislature calling a coalition government a "necessary act" citing the lack of majority either party held in the legislature.
