Nolideer Pravuil, 11th Viscount Starfall (c. 36 BH – 15 AH) was an Atlantean noble of aasimar descent and the 11th Viscount Starfall. He was the elder son of Tauwim Pravuil, 10th Viscount Starfall and his wife, Zerah Kaida. Pravuil was a member of the Atlantean Parliament during the reign of King Matias and retired during the infancy of the Great Pirate War.
His principal seat was the Pravuil Manor in the Crestmore district of Atlas. He fathered two children with his wife Rholdrea: Anradeem and Meldra. He and Rholdrea were murdered in 15 AH by Aldrin, a fellow aasimar, and were targeted due to Apollean demand for aasimar wings in the black market. Their wings were auctioned and sold at the Apolis Opera House but were recovered by Anradeem following a false flag operation by Anradeem's pirate crew that sabotaged the event and pinned responsibility for the attack to the Stormlords. Nolideer's and Rholdrea's wings were properly deposited and laid to rest by their son Anradeem and his pirate crew at the Pravuil Ancestral Tomb north of Stormwind.
Description
Nolideer was an austere and firm individual. He took his role as the patriarch of the Pravuil family seriously and was a well-respected nobleman within the city of Atlas. He showed undeniable favoritism towards his daughter Meldra over his son Anradeem. Nolideer and his wife viewed their daughter with pride and worthiness, especially due to her feats and accomplishments as a high-ranking officer within the Coven. Conversely, they viewed Anradeem with scorn and disappointment due to his seeming idleness and blind devotion to ancient aasimar spirituality. Nolideer inherited the firm secular outlook of his father, Tauwim, and viewed Anradeem's preoccupations with the past and religion with ridicule and bafflement, as opposed to Meldra's more grounded, materialistic-driven ambitions.
He was a tall, imposing figure whose face seldom showed any facial expression other than continuous haughtiness. He was especially cold and distant towards Anradeem. During Anradeem's return to the Pravuil Manor in 15 AH following an extended period of self-imposed exile from the family, Nolideer showed utter disdain at his son's presence but reluctantly allowed his son and his son's crewmates to use the family carriage on their travels to the Durathyon Manor. Following Nolideer's death, it was later revealed that he still harbored well-hidden affection and love for his son, as evident by his steadfast insistence that the Pravuil key to the Pravuil Ancestral Tomb be inherited by Anradeem and not Meldra. In addition, in a letter addressed to a 4-years old Anradeem, it was demonstrated that Nolideer and Rholdrea had high hopes for their son and were likely envious that their son possessed spiritual connection to their aasimar forefathers which they lacked. This envy fueled their outward hatred of their son. However, Nolideer and Anradeem reconciled in Nolideer's afterlife and he and his wife were able to find peace when their wings were laid to rest at the Pravuil Ancestral Tomb due to the efforts of their son and his crew.
Biography
Nolideer was born the eldest child of Tauwim Pravuil, 10th Viscount Starfall, and Zerah Kaida in Atlas. He was educated at the Atlas University and assumed control over the family's finances following his father's sudden mental illness. After his father succumbed to his condition and died, Nolideer became the family patriarch.
The Pravuils under Nolideer's stewardship promoted the arts and sciences, and were among the select noble families who resided in Atlas when the city was ascended to the sky. Following Atlas's descent and return to Earth and the world's restructuring, Nolideer secured a brief political career as a member of Parliament.
