Cannoneer and Elsa are an Atlantean duo who are members of the pirate crew Akula's Friends. They are known for their skillfulness in artillery and pyrokinetic powers respectively. Cannoneer is an adult male leonin while Elsa is a child female human. Little is known of either individual's background or origins. Cannoneer is a father figure to Elsa and are inseparable from one another.

Cannoneer and Elsa joined Akula's Friends in 15 AH after they were recruited by Captain Willem and Durgl prior to the crew embarking on their maiden journey into the open seas. They were subsequently designated the rank as co-master gunners on the Friend.
