Azula is a female human sorceress and pirate who is a member of Akula's Friends. Prior to joining Akula's Friends, Azula gained notoriety as one of the most powerful and skilled storm sorcerers in all of Atlas. Highly proficient in weather-based magic, Azula was a professional fighter in the underground dueling scene in the Atlantean criminal underworld.
She joined Akula's Friends in 15 AH after she encountered Captain Willem during a match. For reasons unknown, Azula forfeited the match against Willem and agreed to join his crew. It is speculated but unconfirmed that she joined Akula's Friends due to a secret deal between her and the captain.
Within Akula's Friends, she held the nonstandard rank of a magician, providing both offensive and supportive roles on the ship through her abilities. Despite holding no significant position within the crew as an able seawoman, she is one of the most powerful and capable members on the ship.

Trivia
- According to M0nke_Mode (the Dungeon Master), Azula's name was inspired by the character of the same name from Avatar: The Last Airbender. However, Azula manipulates wind as a wind-based sorcerer instead of the show's equivalent who manipulates fire as a firebender.
