Area 51 is a state in the United States of JBR that is situated mainly near Groom Lake in the former state of Nevada. It borders the state of Vegas and the territory North Vegas. Areas 51 is named after the base that existed during the U.S. era. That base became the State Capitol and parts of it a military base. The world's fifth-largest Scientology church is found here and critics speculate the irony of aliens and the religion of Scientology being so close to each other in the desert land. A large suburb community known as the "Hub" is just east of the Capitol and an interstate connects Area 51 to the city of Las Vegas. Most citizens work in the city so the freeway boasts one of the world's busiest desert highways.

History

Area 51 was left unattended by the United States of JBR government until up to the Dawkins N' Marx Period, a hostile time to religious people. Upon annexing this unclaimed, deserted land, business corporations flocked to establish suburbs while politicians worked to erect a stable state government. Area 51 remained a territory until the end of the Anarchic Disorder Month. A large interstate system between Area 51, Las Vegas, and Bishop has been made to help ease the flow of traffic and access to other settlements.
Area 51 faced many internal problems during the advent of the Christian Revival Era; the opposite of that of what the other states were experiencing. The State Legislature faced immense budget problems and the Governor was forced to dismiss about 43% of the Legislature by February 2011. The state of Vegas came to assist the crippling economy of Area 51 and sent 500 volunteers to temporarily live and build farms to start an agricultural industry in Area 51. The climate of Area 51 killed much of the crops of these temporary farms and the Vegas Water Authority was forced to build several irrigation canals; many spanning for dozens of miles underground. The Water Authority finished these canals by late March 2011 and several farmers successfully sold their first harvest. The corn, a surprise to locals, was the first agricultural product sold and has earned a local title as the "Blessed Fruit" (or Vegetable by some).
During the JBRican Civil War, it was briefly conquered by the Anti-Infidel League of the Islamic Resistance before it was liberated within three days. Later, it was revealed that Area 51 housed nuclear weapons and the Aurora II.

Settlements

This sign is a reminder of the former use of Area 51--a top secret air force base with alien conspiracy.

Area 51 covers a vast land over the Groom Lake and neighboring flatlands and mountains and only 3 incorporated towns exist in the small state: Fort Jupiter, Yeller, and Hub. Hub is by far the largest city; accounting about 4,000 people and an additional 2,000 planned for annexation to neighboring unincorporated McMansion communities nearby. Rachel, an unincorporated town, lies near the southern border of Area 51 with a popular alien-themed restaurant pit stop.

Geography and environment

The location of Area 51 is situated about 50 miles away from the state of Vegas and sits upon a large desert landscape which includes the dry lake of Groom Lake and its surrounding flatlands and rugged mountains. Few animals live in the area; much abandoned because of the frequent nuclear testings and military practices done to the area although many desert plants grow and cover throughout the state. Because of the lack of any water, water is often pumped from the Hoover Dam; about 80 miles south. It overlies the Yucca Flat region.

Transportation

The transportation of Area 51 is considerably lacking as most roads are unpaved or obstructed from the heat. In Fort Jupiter, only the busiest street, Crescent Boulevard; is frequently repaired and paved. Interstate 375; once a highway and nicknamed the "Extraterrestrial Highway", is the only major transportation route in the state which connects to Interstate 15 and leads to Las Vegas, Riverside, and Los Angeles. Interstate 375 is commonly congested in the early mornings and late evenings due to the large flow of working citizens in Area 51 working at Las Vegas and the surrounding communities.

Economy

Business in Area 51 is poor; with the exception of the corporations that build and maintain the McMansion communities found in this state. Most of the citizens in Area 51 are working-class and hold jobs in the rich Las Vegas 50 miles south. The average income is about $23,000; fairly reasonable and few businesses operate in the desolate lands of Area 51. The largest domestic corporation in Area 51 is the Blackbird Construction Products Company which specializes in the handling of construction resources such as stone and iron. Blackbird is named after the nickname of Emperor Cortath.

Government

As part of a promcapablic nation, Area 51 is subjected as a state-level power. The state government of Area 51 is composed of three balanced branches: the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative. Area 51 is headed by the Governor, the legislative being the Area 51 Congress, and the Area 51 Supreme Court. There are only 20 members in the Senate and 30 in the Assembly.

UFO Sightings

Area 51 is known very well for its former use of a secret U.S. air force where many believed that it was hosting UFOs, aliens, advanced technology, and time traveling machines. When the U.S. was still up and running, it continually denied this and rarely spoke of the base. Area 51 was later abandoned by the U.S. government as the dissolution of the United States of America was creeping in. When the United States of JBR finally claimed it during the Dawkins N' Marx time period, the land became converted into a small, sprawling desert community of McMansions and small businesses. Since then, few of strange UFO sightings have been reported along with a recent alien encounter. Many people around the world come to visit the state; often people visiting Las Vegas would come and see for themselves. Area 51 is as equally visited as it does in Roswell and Marfa, Texas. Below is a table of notable events: only two so far has been reported.
