The Central Committee of the 8th Congress of the Continentalist Party was elected by the 8th Congress of the Continentalist Party of the United Commonwealth (CPUC), and sat from 9 August 1917 to 5 September 1918. The 8th Central Committee is sometimes nicknamed the “Central Committee of the Revolution”, because it was the seated committee overseeing the Continentalist rise to power in Illinois at the start of the Continental Revolutionary War, and included most of the revolution’s most famous Continental leaders. The Central Committee was composed of 27 members, including 17 full members with voting rights, and 10 observer members. It elected the five members to a Secretariat led by General Secretary Aeneas Warren.
