What is Conworlding? Conworlding, also called worldbuilding, is the process of constructing an imaginary world, sometimes associated with a whole fictional universe. The resulting world may be called a constructed world or a conworld. The term "worldbuilding" was popularized at science fiction writers' workshops in the 1970s. Developing an imaginary setting with coherent qualities such as a history, geography, and ecology is a key task for many science fiction or fantasy writers. Worldbuilding often involves the creation of maps, a backstory, and people for the world. Constructed worlds can enrich the backstory and history of fictional works, and it is not uncommon for authors to revise their constructed worlds while completing its associated work. By its own claims, the Aidusian Empire de jure rules over all space lying inside of the Aidopause, the point at which the solar wind of the star Aidus transitions into the ambient interstellar medium of the Local Bubble. De facto, the Aidusian Empire only effectively controls space up to approximately 0.5 Orbalian Orbits past its outermost member planet, Mora, with the dense planetesimal field of the Circumtorus making further deep space navigation unfeasible on a large scale. In all, the total effective volume of territory controlled by the Aidusian Empire is roughly 6.29 sextillion cubic kilometers, the largest of any single sovereignty in history. Combining its seven planets and numerous space stations, the Aidusian Empire has a total estimated population of 604.44 million as of the 13th millennium of the Fourth Age. The Aidusian Empire is the largest single political entity in the Aidus system, both historically and presently, demographically and territorially. The Empire does not recognize the existence of any other sovereign polity, nor do any other such polities claim to exist within the whole system. It is a federal semi-constitutional empire, with the head of state and head of government being the Emperor, currently, Gavriel. The Imperial Council is an unempowered legislative body composed of the Dominars of the individual Dominions of the Empire; these Dominions typically encompass entire planets and are the highest level of administrative division and possess significant internal powers. The Imperial Council legally serves as the pleasure of the Emperor and can be dismissed at will; however, the strict system of precedence set by the first Pan-Aidusian monarch, Emperor Aleksandrina I & II, makes the dismissal of the Council a de facto non-starter for any ruling monarch. The Imperial Councils members, the Dominars, provide advice and recommendations to the monarch on all matters of state; in times of regency, the Imperial Council is given more concrete legislative powers and operates via consensus. Dominars are selected within each Dominion by processes unique to the political structures of those entities; the only exception lies in the Velesan Confederacy, which is considered the personal demesne of the Emperor by right of lineage to the Popof Hegemony and thus is represented on the Imperial Council by the senior-most ranking adult in the line to the Imperial Throne, typically the heir apparent. The Attribution and Copyright Compliance Task Force (abbreviated ACCTF) is a Conworlds task force and project which aims to identify and resolve attribution issues involving the articles, templates, files, and categories of the Constructed Worlds Wiki. Due to the nature of the Constructed Worlds Wiki first and foremost as a worldbuilding community wiki that seeks to emulate the appearance and style of Wikipedia, many of its articles are based on or inspired by Wikipedia. Consequently, it may feature articles which may or may not properly attribute its Wikipedia sourced material. Material which has been copied, transposed, imported, or derived from Wikipedia (and elsewhere) which fail to have proper attribution may be in violation of Wikipedia's or other similar sites' copyrights. The Constructed Worlds Wiki administration takes this very seriously, as non-compliance or negligence may have legal ramifications. (short for "Incorporation") was a Sierran thrash metal band formed in Porciúncula in 1979. Its original lineup consisted of guitarist/vocalist Max Leftfield, guitarist Daniel Mustang, bassist Griffin Beckett, and drummer Gary Alaric; in 1983 Beckett would leave to form his band, with Kevin Eldridge replacing him on bass shortly afterward. At the height of their fame in the 1980s, the band had popularized the Sierran thrash metal scene with songs such as "Whiplash" and "Four Mechanix", and are seen alongside Sureiyaa, Quikkill, and Lockjaw as one of the "big four" in Anglo-American thrash metal. In 1980, the band released its first album Damage Your Ass on the independent record label Vanquish Records, to minor commercial success but received critical acclaim, with the band landing their first venue gigs during this time. Due to their hectic performances and the album's notoriety spreading by word of mouth, the band had caught the attention of bigger labels, which led to Damage Inc signing with Avocado Records. The band's untitled second studio album, commonly known as Damage Inc., would be released in 1982 to moderate success, debuting at number 39 on the Sunset 100 chart. According to the Porciúncula Times, the album confirmed the band's status as the leading heavy metal band of the modern era, and for redefining the norms of thrash metal. Damage Inc. would be the last to feature bassist Griffin Beckett, who would leave the band after their 1983 Hail To The Victors tour to form his own band, later known as Lockjaw.
