What is Conworlding? Conworlding, also called worldbuilding, is the process of constructing an imaginary world, sometimes associated with a whole fictional universe. The resulting world may be called a constructed world or a conworld. The term "worldbuilding" was popularized at science fiction writers' workshops in the 1970s. Developing an imaginary setting with coherent qualities such as a history, geography, and ecology is a key task for many science fiction or fantasy writers. Worldbuilding often involves the creation of maps, a backstory, and people for the world. Constructed worlds can enrich the backstory and history of fictional works, and it is not uncommon for authors to revise their constructed worlds while completing its associated work. Author: Centrist16 Project: Altverse II Country: Sierra Population: 1.8 million–6 million Languages: French, English, Spanish, Sierran Creole Summary: Sierran Creole people (French: Créoles sierrain, Spanish: Criolloserranos) are a multiracial ethnic group, who have ancestry from African (primarily Afro-Caribbean and African American), European (French and Spanish), Amerindian, and sometimes Asian (East and Southeast Asia) ethnic groups. Many Sierran Creoles are descendants from inhabitants of colonial Sierra during the period of Spanish and Mexican rule, and the Channel Islands when it was under French control, as well as the Louisiana Creoles and Haitian gens de couleur who immigrated to Sierra during the late 19th-century. The term creole was and is still used today in Sierra to refer to Sierrans of multiracial descent, although biracial Sierrans may or may not be considered Creole (a notable example are the Sierran Hapas). Sierran Creoles are predominantly Francophone and Catholic. They are counted as one of the "Big Five" (including the Sierran Jacobites) constituent groups in Sierra who are primarily Catholic. Sierran Creoles mainly inhabit the Southwest Corridor region of Sierra and are particularly concentrated along the Saintiana (also known as the "Creole Coast" and not to be confused with the nickname Santa Ana for the Orange city of St. Anne), which includes areas along the Gold Coast's South Bay and Santa Monica Bay, and northwestern Orange. Another common description of the Creoles' primary range includes coastal communities between the cities of Malibu and Aliso Beach. Their presence has helped shape the local culture of the area, as well as the nation due to their prominence around the Kingdom's capital in Porciúncula. Despite a history of economic disadvantage and discrimination, Sierran Creoles have contributed to artistic, scientific, political, social, musical, and educational movements in the past. March was designated as the official Sierran French Creole Appreciation Month in 2007, honoring Creole advancements to Sierran culture. Although there has never been any formal census conducted for the Sierran Creole people, the Sierran government estimates that roughly 15% of native-born Sierrans had Creole ancestry and that as much as 45% of multicultural Sierrans would be qualified as Creole according to historic Sierran casta system. Increasingly, Creoles have lobbied to be included as a separate ethnic category by the Sierra Royal Bureau of Census, and are the second-largest group after Hispanics, who self-identify with "Other race" under current census definitions. The Attribution and Copyright Compliance Task Force (abbreviated ACCTF) is a Conworlds task force and project which aims to identify and resolve attribution issues involving the articles, templates, files, and categories of the Constructed Worlds Wiki. Due to the nature of the Constructed Worlds Wiki first and foremost as a worldbuilding community wiki that seeks to emulate the appearance and style of Wikipedia, many of its articles are based on or inspired by Wikipedia. Consequently, it may feature articles which may or may not properly attribute its Wikipedia sourced material. Material which has been copied, transposed, imported, or derived from Wikipedia (and elsewhere) which fail to have proper attribution may be in violation of Wikipedia's or other similar sites' copyrights. The Constructed Worlds Wiki administration takes this very seriously, as non-compliance or negligence may have legal ramifications. (short for "Incorporation") was a Sierran thrash metal band formed in Porciúncula in 1979. Its original lineup consisted of guitarist/vocalist Max Leftfield, guitarist Daniel Mustang, bassist Griffin Beckett, and drummer Gary Alaric; in 1983 Beckett would leave to form his band, with Kevin Eldridge replacing him on bass shortly afterward. At the height of their fame in the 1980s, the band had popularized the Sierran thrash metal scene with songs such as "Whiplash" and "Four Mechanix", and are seen alongside Sureiyaa, Quikkill, and Lockjaw as one of the "big four" in Anglo-American thrash metal. In 1980, the band released its first album Damage Your Ass on the independent record label Vanquish Records, to minor commercial success but received critical acclaim, with the band landing their first venue gigs during this time. Due to their hectic performances and the album's notoriety spreading by word of mouth, the band had caught the attention of bigger labels, which led to Damage Inc signing with Avocado Records. The band's untitled second studio album, commonly known as Damage Inc., would be released in 1982 to moderate success, debuting at number 39 on the Sunset 100 chart. According to the Porciúncula Times, the album confirmed the band's status as the leading heavy metal band of the modern era, and for redefining the norms of thrash metal. Damage Inc. would be the last to feature bassist Griffin Beckett, who would leave the band after their 1983 Hail To The Victors tour to form his own band, later known as Lockjaw.
