What is Conworlding? Conworlding, also called worldbuilding, is the process of constructing an imaginary world, sometimes associated with a whole fictional universe. The resulting world may be called a constructed world or a conworld. The term "worldbuilding" was popularized at science fiction writers' workshops in the 1970s. Developing an imaginary setting with coherent qualities such as a history, geography, and ecology is a key task for many science fiction or fantasy writers. Worldbuilding often involves the creation of maps, a backstory, and people for the world. Constructed worlds can enrich the backstory and history of fictional works, and it is not uncommon for authors to revise their constructed worlds while completing its associated work. Author: Centrist16 Project: Altverse II Artist: Q-Lo Genres: Hip hop, experimental Label: Skid Row Productions Summary: Saudade (sawˈdadʒi) is the fourth studio album by Sierran hip hop recording artist Jermaine Carter Williams, under his stage name Q-Lo. It was released on November 8, 2014 by Skid Row Productions and Step Aside Records under the distributor company, O.P. Entertainment. The album was created in response to Williams' personal issues with his estranged then-wife, whom he had just married the same year the album was released. He alongside fellow artists from Skid Row Productions helped produce the bulk of the album's tracks and audio from his private residence in Kauai from April to October in 2014. Williams also remixed previously recorded, but unpublished tracks he had made earlier in the year, and repurposed them into the album, releasing four of them early as singles, including "Broken Glass", "A Melancholic Friday", "Overdose", and "Momentarily". The album has been widely regarded as Williams' greatest work yet, and received universal acclaim among critics, and mixed responses among fans. Saudade dealt heavily with themes of confusion, depression, heartbreak, and hopeless romanticism, while also exploring the continued exploits and injustice of the people living in the Styxie, his home region, and was noted for its extensive use of two non-traditional instruments in hip-hop: the percussion and guitar. The album's style drew influence from trap music, alternative rock, synthpop, and trance. The longest album by Williams to date, it features 19 songs as well as 3 bonus tracks, and was heavily promoted by Williams for three months leading up to Saudade's release. Saudade debuted at number one on the Sunset 100, selling 420,000 copies in its first week of release, and topped the charts in 17 other countries including Brazoria, Astoria, and the United Commonwealth. It received widespread appraisal and critical recognition, and won eight awards from four major award organizations, and named the best album of the year on numerous polls and lists conducted at the end of the year. The Attribution and Copyright Compliance Task Force (abbreviated ACCTF) is a Conworlds task force and project which aims to identify and resolve attribution issues involving the articles, templates, files, and categories of the Constructed Worlds Wiki. Due to the nature of the Constructed Worlds Wiki first and foremost as a worldbuilding community wiki that seeks to emulate the appearance and style of Wikipedia, many of its articles are based on or inspired by Wikipedia. Consequently, it may feature articles which may or may not properly attribute its Wikipedia sourced material. Material which has been copied, transposed, imported, or derived from Wikipedia (and elsewhere) which fail to have proper attribution may be in violation of Wikipedia's or other similar sites' copyrights. The Constructed Worlds Wiki administration takes this very seriously, as non-compliance or negligence may have legal ramifications. (short for "Incorporation") was a Sierran thrash metal band formed in Porciúncula in 1979. Its original lineup consisted of guitarist/vocalist Max Leftfield, guitarist Daniel Mustang, bassist Griffin Beckett, and drummer Gary Alaric; in 1983 Beckett would leave to form his band, with Kevin Eldridge replacing him on bass shortly afterward. At the height of their fame in the 1980s, the band had popularized the Sierran thrash metal scene with songs such as "Whiplash" and "Four Mechanix", and are seen alongside Sureiyaa, Quikkill, and Lockjaw as one of the "big four" in Anglo-American thrash metal. In 1980, the band released its first album Damage Your Ass on the independent record label Vanquish Records, to minor commercial success but received critical acclaim, with the band landing their first venue gigs during this time. Due to their hectic performances and the album's notoriety spreading by word of mouth, the band had caught the attention of bigger labels, which led to Damage Inc signing with Avocado Records. The band's untitled second studio album, commonly known as Damage Inc., would be released in 1982 to moderate success, debuting at number 39 on the Sunset 100 chart. According to the Porciúncula Times, the album confirmed the band's status as the leading heavy metal band of the modern era, and for redefining the norms of thrash metal. Damage Inc. would be the last to feature bassist Griffin Beckett, who would leave the band after their 1983 Hail To The Victors tour to form his own band, later known as Lockjaw.
