Cyprus (Greek: Κύπρος, Turkish:قبرص, latn. Kıbrıs), officially the State of Cyprus, is a country located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. While sharing no continental borders, Cyprus has various maritime borders with the Anatolian Republic, Greece, and Syria.
Etymology
History
In the aftermath of signing of the Treaty of Famagusta, President Christoforos Vallidis and Mustafa Kemal were sworn in as first President and Prime Minister respectively in Nicosia.
